The Julep Ball is one of the longest running Derby weekend fundraisers. On Derby Eve, special musical guests Angie Johnson and the iconic party band The B-52s treated guests to an experience like no other from the main floor of the KFC Yum! Center. The evening included a multi-course seated dinner, auction, and dancing.
A portion of the event’s proceeds go specifically to the Harriett B. Porter Endowment to support the health disparities in underserved communities of greater Louisville. A true “Party with a Purpose,” the Julep Ball honors the groundbreaking achievements made by the researchers and physicians at James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Support of this event assures better access to screening and education opportunities in fighting cancer. No matter who the patient is or what type of cancer they have, they are offered a world-class level of care that starts with diagnosis and continues through every phase of disease management and recovery.
